A rolling journal your agent reads before every session.

One markdown file per day, auto-created at first access. Stored on disk at ~/.qalatra/daily/YYYY-MM-DD.md. Your agent can read, append, and summarize.

Press d from anywhere. It opens in an inline editor, or in your configured external editor (Settings → Daily notes → Editor).

Wikilinks

Use [[task-title]] to link to a task, [[people/name]] for a person, [[projects/name]] for a project. Links are live — hover to preview, click to jump.

Why your agent cares

Before every session, ask your agent to mcp:read_daily_note("yesterday"). Continuity across days is the cheapest, most valuable agent upgrade you'll ever make.

Yesterday's note is today's system prompt.

Search

All daily notes are full-text indexed. Open the Backlog view (5) and search by phrase — results include matching notes with the line highlighted.
